🤝 Building Bridges: The Congress may remove Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury as leader of the party in the Lok Sabha. Some see this as a possible “warming up” of the party and the TMC to take on the BJP. Chowdhury has been an ardent critic of Mamata Banerjee and the G23 Congress people who had been demanding changes in the party.
🥩 Non-Veg: A Dehradun school has been booked for “promoting hatred among groups” for issuing a tender for supply of halal meat. The Bajrang Dal claimed this was the first step to conversion. The school has apologised.
🔎 Probe on: A Karnataka Special Court has ordered an investigation into a corruption case that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa was named in. The case dates back to 2006 when he was deputy chief minister and it was alleged that he got money in return for denotifying 434 acres.

👐 New Rules: IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has commended Google and Facebook for releasing their compliance reports as per the new IT rules. Meanwhile, Amazon and Tata have told the government that the new rules on e-commerce will negatively affect business.
👍 Go ahead: US lawmakers from both major parties have encouraged the Federal Trade Commission to go ahead with an antitrust case against Facebook. This comes days after a federal judge throughout an earlier case saying that the state had failed to give evidence of a monopoly and that the anti-competition cases were too old.
